SP125’s Bradley Ray stormed to pole position in changing conditions at Knockhill with a laptime of 56.045, over a second quicker than the man in second, Kyle Ryde
Ryde and his Honda Moto3 held provisional pole from the wet session this morning but with a dry line appearing all 24 of the riders improved on their earlier laptime. Ryde couldn’t challenge the pace of Ray but stayed in a comfortable second, with a 1.1 second advantage, whilst the battle for third raged on behind him.
With the flag out 4 riders were on personal improving lap times and were on course to take third. In the end it was Tarran Mackenzie who took third claiming his first ever front row at his home circuit. Repli-Cast UK’s Tom Carne moved up to fourth with Catherine Green and Joe Irving climbing up the order to take fifth and sixth and just 0.3 seconds adrift of Mackenzie.
South African Jordan Weaving ended up seventh and Championship leader Luke Hedger will start from the third row in eighth. Rounding out the third row is Bradley Hughes, 2.6 seconds off of pole position.
Joe Francis heads the fourth row in tenth closely followed by Phillip Wakefield, who crashed in the earlier wet qualifying session, with Harry Hartley putting his GH Motorsports Honda into twelfth.
