Scottish rider Michael Robertson claimed his first Pirelli National Superstock 600 victory this afternoon at Knockhill, the only Scottish rider to win a race all weekend.
Polesetter Levi Day took the holeshot before the safety car was deployed after an incident at the Scotsman. Once the safety car came in, Australian, Day, lost his lead with Matthew Paulo rolling around the outside of the Moto-Breakers rider at the first corner. Paulo made a mistake a lap later, demoting himself to fifth, and Robertson took the lead. Paulo's race was over laps later, crashing out at the Hairpin.
Robertson started to extend his advantage at the front, eventually pulling out a 3.350 second lead. Gearlink Kawasaki's Luke Hedger took his third consecutive second place ahead of championship leader Jordan Simpkin, who has extended his championship lead even further after Joe Collier, his closest rival, crashed out.
Local Scotsman Niall Campbell fought off James Lodge to take fourth, ahead of Mason Law and Mark Wilkinson who finished sixth and seventh. Appleyard Macadam's Dan Kinloch took his best result of the year in eighth, with Tom Fisher and early leader Levi Day rounding out the top ten.
