Kyle Ryde is on a mission to 'put one up on Brad' Ray at Brands Hatch and close the gap in the Championship.
This weekend, Kyle Ryde returns to Brands Hatch, the circuit where he won the British Superbike Championship in October.
However, this time, there is less on the line for Ryde, but a Championship fight is still his and the OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing teams' main goal.
After four rounds of the 2025 British Superbike season, the reigning Champion finds himself in second place in the standings, 52 points behind Bradley Ray.
Ryde is hopeful that he will be able to 'put on up on Brad' and close the gap down in the Championship across Ray's home round.
"Knockhill was not the best, but way better than last year," Ryde said.
"So I will take the small gains and positives. I rode a lot better in the wet than what I did last season. I had a great qualifying and first race, I had the pace to keep up with Brad and if not beat him, but just lack of settings and dry track time just hindered me in the last part of the race, so I am happy.
"I know we are a chunk behind in the championship but I am riding good, and I am way better off than I was last year when I managed to win, so I am happy.
"We are going to the track next where I won the championship so it is a special place for me, I am looking forward to it and the bike works well in either wet or dry conditions as we proved in October last year.
"I am looking forward to getting my finger out and getting stuck in and hopefully putting one up on Brad!"
