Tyco BMW's Michael Laverty has never had the best of relationships with Oulton Park but after a successful test last week, the Irishman believes he can put the bad memories behind him at this weekend's Bennetts British Superbike round.
Laverty went straight to the Cheshire after scoring a maiden World Endurance podium at Le Mans and managed to find a setup with the S1000RR he was happy with.
“We have a really good base setting with the Tyco BMW but Oulton Park has always been a bit of a difficult circuit for me, probably my most difficult, and one that I have always had to work at," said Laverty.
"It felt like a rollercoaster on steroids last week after Le Mans, but I got settled back in and I left the test feeling really happy with the work we made to the Tyco BMW. I am hoping that this weekend I can finally put my previous Oulton Park woes behind me.”
