Lowes cagey on Samsung Honda future

Former WFR Honda star Alex Lowes is remaining cagey over the rumour he has signed a deal with the Samsung Honda team for next year's MCE British Superbike Championship.

It is believed that after the demise of his 2012 team, Lowes had talks with both Shaun Muir's squad and the Honda UK outfit but no firm details have yet come to light. In an interview with Bikesport News Superbike reporter Vicky Turner he said: "I definitely want to stay in British Superbikes, that's my goal and I want to fight with Shane Byrne and Josh Brookes for the championship.

"I hope to have all my contracts sorted by the end of the Motorcycle Live NEC show so I can enjoy Christmas and then work hard in the new year. At the moment I am training hard in the gym, and playing some golf and (brother) Sam and I are going to go away with each other for Christmas, so I am just sorting that out, so that's something to look forward to."
