Quattro Kawasaki’s Howie Mainwaring looks likely to be out of the Brands Hatch MCE British Superbike opening round at Brands Hatch after badly dislocating his shoulder in a crash yesterday.
The Kent-based rider fell and circuit medics were unable to re-locate the joint, so Mainwaring Smart went to hospital last night and has his right shoulder put back in place under a general anaesthetic.
“It was a big highside at Palmer and it took four goes to get it back into place. I don’t think I will be riding at Brands but I will go to a specialist this week and see what we need to do for Oulton,” he said.
