As revealed by bikesportnews.com on Friday, former World Superbike man Mark Aitchison will join the Quattro Kawasaki team for this weekend's Oulton Park British Superbike round.

Aitchison joins the championship from the world stage where he has been competing in both the World Superbike and Supersport Championships, most recently with Kawasaki. He joins the Liverpool-based team as they aim to build on their season best result of a top five finish at Brands Hatch.

"I am really looking forward to joining the championship and the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team starting at Oulton Park this weekend. I am ready for the new challenge and to move forward now, the team have already impressed me with their motivation so it will be good to get started. There are some good riders in the championship that I have raced with or know from the world stage so it will be good to be up against them and a three race weekend is probably the best way to start," said the Aussie.
