Honda Racing’s Pirelli National Superstock 1000 front-runner Jason O’Halloran will test the team’s Superbike-spec Fireblade at Knockhill on Monday.

The Australian, who is currently lying second behind Danny Buchan in the production series, will get the team’s development bike to ride which is currently being raced by Frenchman Julien Da Costa in selected wildcard appearances.

“As was evident by Julien’s performance at Snetterton, we have made a lot of progress with the bike so far this year. The team have completed a programme of engine development work in the workshop and on the dyno and we are keen to give Jason a chance to see what he can do,” said team boss Havier Beltran, speaking to bikesportnews.com today.

“Jason has ridden really well in the Superstock class so far this year and we would like to see what feedback he can add to the development of the bike before we race again at Donington Park.”
