Oulton BSB: Hill leads into qualifying

Swan Yamaha's Tommy Hill set the fastest lap in this morning's final British Superbike free practice session at Oulton Park, going half a second faster than MSS Kawasaki's Stuart Easton and was the only man to lap in the 1'35s bracket.

As with yesterday, Hill is significantly faster than the rest of the field but Easton made a fight of it, going second fastest with only four minutes to go and his 1'36.149 demoted the second Swan bike of Michael Laverty to third place.

Samsung Suzuki's John Hopkins picked himself off the floor after a crash at Hizzy's to take fourth place but is a second slower than Hill while Michael Rutter's final lap saw him put the Rapid Ducati in fifth. The second MSS Kawasaki of Gary Mason is sixth quickest after spending much of the session in the top three.
