Samsung Suzuki's John Hopkins has sent an ominous warning to his British Superbike rivals ahead of this weekend's Oulton Park double header that he is stronger now than the last time they raced at the Cheshire circuit.
It's ominous because Hopkins was second in race one and won race two at a track he had never seen before, plus he has had another ten outings at which to fine tune the setup of his GSX-R1000.
"I'm really starting to find my feet in this series. Returning to Oulton Park should be great for us as for the first time I'll have my own base data to work from on set-up. As well, our bike just feels better and better, so I'm in a far stronger position coming to this track, this time around. I shall be shooting for wins as much as podiums," said the American.
