MSS Bathams Kawasaki rider Danny Buchan will not make his British Superbike debut this weekend as his recovery from injuries sustained in a motocross crash is not happening as fast as he would like.

The youngster broke a bone in his back before the Knockhill race and had hoped to be racing this weekend, even spending time with ex-team-mate Simon Andrews in the Isle of Man hyperbaric chamber. It means that Michael Rutter will once again fly solo for the team in Cheshire.

"We’re gutted for Danny as he’s straining at the leash but it’s turned out to just be that bit too early for his back injury still and riding a Superbike is not something you enter into lightly," said team boss Nick Morgan.
