American teenager PJ Jacobsen will make a one-off appearance for Tyco Suzuki in the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 series at Oulton Park after a deal to ride elsewhere fell through at the last minute.
The New Yorker has ridden for the PTR Honda team in World Supersport up until now and scored three championship points at Assen but is switching to the British Supebrike paddock to ride the big GSX-R1000 after a test at Kirkistown.
“I’d like to thank the Tyco Suzuki team for saving my weekend after making the trip from America. I tested the team’s GSX-R1000 Superstock bike at Kirkistown in less than perfect conditions, but was very pleased to get down to 56-second lap times. This will be my first visit to Oulton and although I can’t expect too much, getting into the points would be a bonus," he said.
