MWR Kawasaki have this afternoon split with Metzeler National Superstock 600 rider Ed Rendell. The youngster only came back into the squad at Donington Park after a serious injury in pre-season testing at Cartagena but the partnership has fallen by the wayside.
"Over the Donington race weekend Ed did not gel with the bike, and despite offers of a test early next week, could not make a commitment to the team for Silverstone, and on that basis we felt it was the only decison left open to us," said team boss Mark Webster.
"We feel we have been massively let down by Ed after standing by him all year after the terrible crash he had while testing in Spain pre season. Also after recent events it would have been so easy for the team to pull out for the rest of the year to concentrate on 2012, but wanted to stick by our word and have a bike available for Ed when he was ready to return. We would like to wish Ed all the very best for the future."
