Round Two of the British Superbike Championship saw Rory Skinner feature on the podium for the first time as a Ducati rider.
After switching to Ducati machinery for 2025, it had been a difficult pre-season for Rory Skinner and the Cheshire Mouldings squad.
However, at Round Two of the British Superbike Championship, Skinner was able to get back on the podium for the first time since Knockhill in 2024.
After finishing 11th in both races at Oulton Park, a fifth, fourth and third place finish in the three races at Donington Park was a great result for the 23-year-old.
"Looking back two weeks ago to Oulton Park we were just fighting for the top ten," Skinner said after Race Three at Donington Park.
"We knew that the pace we had would have been good enough for a top five, but it was a tough weekend. Coming into Donington Park, I felt good straight away, and it was nice to get straight into the action.
"Friday went good, Saturday went good, but today [Sunday] we just went one better. Pole position, and a third place in the last race, I am over the moon. The guys at Cheshire Mouldings Ducati have been working non-stop to try and get the bike sorted out. We had a couple of gremlins in testing that put us on the back foot a bit, I am happy with the bike now, and I am really enjoying it."
There is now a break for the British Superbike riders until the next round at Snetterton, which will take place between the 20th and 22nd of June.
"Looking at the last four weeks it has been the finalisation of the UK testing, then Round One and Two," Skinner explained.
"There has been a lot going on across the last few weeks, a lot mentally as well. So it is nice to end the first part of the season on a high. It is a good way to go into this break, I will be speaking with the boys and trying to see what we can improve on for Snetterton.
"But I am looking forward to it, I think we have found what we were looking for with the bike, and I have found what I was looking for with my riding."
