Milwaukee Yamaha's James Ellison did the Silverstone 200 double and added the race-two win to his victory yesterday.
Ellison had again got the holeshot to lead on the opening lap from Lloyds British GBmoto Honda pairing, Dan Linfoot and Peter Hickman. The purple Fireblades were hoping for a repeat performance of yesterday's double podium but an electrical problem halted Hickman's charge and he was forced to retire.
Linfoot however held second and despite Australian Josh Waters closing the gap in the closing stages the Lloyds British GBmoto Honda split the Milwaukee Yamahas on the podium at the end of the race; their first double top three finish of the season.
The pack behind though were frantically dicing for fourth place and despite a huge moment for Marshall Neill the Wilson Craig Honda rider was the top 100cc finisher after he made up the lost ground and took on Aaron Zanotti and Josh Elliot who was pushing on the GAR Acorns Proseal Kawasaki.
Graeme Gowland looked set to record his second podium finish of the weekend in the 600cc class but the Appleyard Macadam Racing Yamaha rider crashed out unhurt but team-mate Deane Brown claimed the position.
