Motorpoint British Supersport championship leader Jack Kennedy and his Mar-Train Yamaha team face a race against time to be out on the grid for this afternoon’s first Supersport race at Silverstone after a crash in qualifying wrecked the bike.
“We really don’t know at this stage. All we can do is hope we can make it out. The crash was so strange once again. I tipped it in, let of the brakes and began to put the gas back on and it just let go,” said Kennedy, speaking to bikesportnews.com this afternoon.
“I thought the crash at Assen was a one off but it’s happened again. I slid along the tarmac and just saw it spit up in the air again, I couldn’t believe it.”
