Silverstone BSB: Successful shakedown test for Tyco's Linfoot

Tyco Honda's Dan Linfoot completed a successful shakedown test at Mallory Park ahead of his return to the British Superbike Championship at Silverstone this weekend to get re-acquainted with the spec-Pirelli tyres he will race on.

The Yorkshire pitchfork spent most of yesterday lapping the Leicestershire circuit on the ex-HM Plant Fireblade after an eighth place at the last Spanish Moto2 round held at Albacete where he is competing on Michelins tyres.

"It is such a difference going from what is essentially a Superstock 600 engine in Spain to a full-blooded Superbike here with all the power and electronics available but it didn't take long to get back into the swing of things," said Linfoot, speaking to bikesportnews.com at Silverstone.

"Having done some laps to get used to it, I was looking for spaces for fast ones. There was a bit of a crowd but we got some useful work done and the electronics on the Tyco bike are really well dialled in so we should be in a good position come tomorrow morning."
