Gearlink Kawasaki's Alastair Seeley sealed his first Motorpoint British Supersport double victory of the year in the blazing heat of Snetterton this afternoon, dominating the middleweight race once again from his team-mate, Ben Wilson.
Samsung Honda's Jason O'Halloran took the holeshot but the Australians fortunes didn't strange. The belly pan of the Samsung Honda blew off down the back straight forcing him to be black/orange flagged and pull off the circuit.
At the front, Seeley took advantage of Wilson running wide at the Montreal hairpin and that mistake from Wilson was crucial. The wee wizard of Carrickfergus began to set fastest lap after fastest lap as he pulled out a five second advantage cruise home to wrap up a dominant double. After coming into the weekend at Snetterton a point behind Stuart Easton in the championship, the former Supersport champion now leads the championship by 40 points.
Wilson held on to second to make it a Gearlink Kawasaki double, fighting off the close attention of Billy McConnell, who secured his sixth podium finish of the year. Seton Yamaha's Graeme Gowland came home in fourth ahead of yesterday's podium finisher, Luke Mossey.
Tyco Suzuki's Taylor Mackenzie took his best ever Supersport result in sixth after cup leader, Jake Dixon, crashed out at half race distance. Luke Jones won the battle of the wounded after the returning Hereford rider beat the injured reigning champion, Glen Richards, to the line.
Rounding out the top ten were Glenn Irwin and Scott Smart, with Irwin's Mar-Train team-mate Stuart Easton struggling down in thirteenth, taking just nine points from the weekend.
