GBmoto Kawasaki’s James Ellison put an end to what would have been his sixth consecutive third place finish in a row, after ending the MCE British Superbike weekend at Snetterton in second place on the rostrum.
Ellison was locked in a battle with both Milwaukee Yamaha riders, but was able to benefit from a crashing Josh Brookes and out-paced Tommy Bridewell to take the second step on the podium in race two.
This is the Kendal rider's best result of the year so far, and was glad to have broken the dead lock of third place finishes, which was getting ‘boring’ for the Kawasaki racer.
“I had to work hard for the second place today, after having finished third place five times in a row, and it was starting to get a bit boring. But this weekend I dug deep and got second place, but unfortunately through Josh’s mishaps,” said Ellison at the track.
“This is one of the best races I have had, but there were a couple of places I could have passed Josh, but I couldn’t, and then I passed Tommy, but I am pleased to have got second.”
