GBmoto Kawasaki’s Chris Walker is expecting a further engine update for tomorrow’s opening MCE British Superbike free practice session at Snetterton following atest at the Norfolk track.
The housewives’ favourite was out with team-mate James Ellison last week in order to blow away the cobwebs from a five-week break but the weather hampered their efforts and the pair only managed to try a handful of new settings.
“I’m itching to get going at Snetterton – I’ve not actually had the chance to get out on a bike during the break so it was good to ride last week and blow the cobwebs away. Although we managed to get some laps in at the test, the weather meant we were unable to do anything in the morning and could then only try a handful of things in the afternoon,” said Walker.
“The boys have been working tirelessly on the bike since Oulton though and have given both myself and James updated engines, with hopefully another one on its way for Friday, which is just what you need for the high speed straights of Snetterton. The circuit is actually one of my favourites and we know the bike will be strong, so I’m confident we’ll be able to bag some big points.”
