Clutch problems and a lack of setup time saw Ian Lowry drop from the top of the British Superbike standings to fifth when his Padgett's team rolled out of Oulton Park but the former chef says his pre-season pace at Snetterton should stand up at this weekend's round.
The Irishman had a relative disaster in Cheshire and is now 46 points behind Tommy Hill but the ex-chef has massive confidence in team boss Clive Padgett to give him the bike he needs to claw his way back to the top of the tree.
"Oulton Park wasn't the best weekend for us, but we are learning all the time and everyone is so close that it can be anyone's race. We just didn't find the right setting at the weekend and that put us down the order a bit, but the team have the experience to put it right," said Lowry.
"I think Snetterton should be a stronger track for us; we had a good pace there in pre-season testing and we have obviously all moved on since then. In theory the bike set up we have should translate better there and then all being well the results should come from that as we want to be back up there like we were at Thruxton."
