Snetterton BSB: Struggling Easton ‘not giving up’ on podium hopes

Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki’s Stuart Easton is still continuing to struggle at the MCE British Superbike weekend at Snetterton, and this was evident during qualifying when the Scot, who usually does so well finished 15th on the timesheets.

The Scot rounds off row five, but he is at a loss as to why his good form has dipped this weekend. He doesn’t feel the bike is working for him, and is adamant that it’s himself who’s the problem – and not the Kawasaki. He wants to get in the points, and doesn’t want to lose his fourth place in the overall championship standings.

“The whole weekend has been a tough one as we haven’t been close to the top ten. I have always struggled at Snetterton and I have no excuse and I can’t figure it out at all,” said Easton, speaking to bikesportnews.com.

“We are not going to give up and I am trying to improve things in myself, like my riding style. Its damage limitation as I was fourth in the championship coming into here and I’m starting fifteenth on the grid.

“The bike in the opposite side of the garage is exactly the same as mine and that’s on pole, so it’s me who’s the problem, more than the bike, but it doesn’t feel like its working for me.”
