The 2015 Moto3 World Champion and the McAMS Racing Yamaha squad arrive in Hampshire off the back of their best weekend of the season at Brands Hatch.

Kent had a difficult start to the 2025 season as he struggled to make his way into the top five. But last time out, he secured two podium finishes in Race Two and Three at Brands Hatch.

This weekend at Thruxton, Kent has his sights set on more podium visits as well as a trip to the top step of the podium for the first time this season.

"It has been a great start to the weekend," Kent said after topping both Free Practice sessions on Friday at Thruxton.

"Off the back of three good results at Brands Hatch, it is always nice to come to Thruxton and start off strong.

"It has always been a track that I have loved, and everyone knows that the Yamaha goes well around here. There are still a few areas that we need to work on, but overall, I am happy with my one-lap pace.

"My race pace is also really good. Looking at the pace at the moment, it looks like it is going to be a bit faster than it was last year.

"We still need to look at some data, and there are some areas I need to work on, but other than that, thank you to McAMS Racing."
