Thruxton BSB: ‘I was racing my laptimer’ - Linfoot

Quattro Kawasaki’s Dan Linfoot worked on his lap consistency in the opening two MCE British Superbike free practice sessions at Thruxton today but still ended up sixth fastest and less than half a second off the pace of quickest man Tommy Bridewell.

The Yorkshire ghost-impersonator wasn’t able to find a clear lap early on to try for a qualifying style time so settled in to getting as many laps in the 1’16s bracket as he could, ending on 11 before bagging his fastest of a 1’16.310 with his penultimate circuit.

“I was happy with my consistency as I was racing my laptimer. The aim was to get in as many 1’16s as I could but I didn’t manage to find some track space to try and do a qualifying lap, so we will see how that goes tomorrow,” said Linfoot, speaking to bikesportnews.com at the track.
