Thruxton BSB: Plater breaks arm in race two crash

Padgett's Honda's Steve Plater has broken the humerus bone in his left arm during a crash in the second British Supersport race yesterday at Thruxton when he high-sided at Church in slippery conditions,

It looks likely he will have to have the bone pinned before he can fly out to the Isle of Man in order to cheer on his Honda Legends team-mates John McGuinness and Keith Amor.

“I have no idea what happened, the bike just high-sided for no apparent reason. It’s the same section of the track that Michael Rutter fell so maybe there is a bump in the track that we both hit," said Plater. Christian Iddon also crashed out as he took avoiding action but was unhurt.
