Australian Glen Richards was the fastest man in this afternoon’s second British Supersport free practice session at Thruxton. Light drizzle before the session looked to lower the pace but Richard’s time of 1’17.810 was the quickest of the weekend. He is 0.370 seconds quicker than team-mate Luke Mossey with Jack Kennedy and Sam Warren a further half a second adrift of Richard’s lap time.

Fifth after an off during the session is Billy McConnell with fellow Triumph rider Richard Cooper behind him in sixth. Ben Wilson was seventh and only completed six laps after some issues with his Gearlink Kawasaki and this morning’s quickest rider Christian Iddon was eighth fastest after an off as he entered the Club Chicane. Ninth fastest was Scotsman Deane Brown, he also crashed on the entry to the Club Chicane and consequently the red flag came out. The latest news is that he has gone to Southampton Hospital for precautionary checks. Rounding out the top ten was Pauli Pekkanen.
