THRUXTON BSB: WEEDEN FINISHES TOP 20

Taboo Motorsport Junior team’s Tom Weeden obtained took fifth in the Cup standings at Thruxton in the Relentless British 125GP Championship and obtained his highest overall finishing position so far this season in 18th.

The 15 year old is only in his fourth year of racing and hasn’t been able to stay off two wheels.  He has ridden numerous types of two wheeled machines starting off with mini-motos and taking the S.E.M.R.C Championship title in 2006.
Now joining one of the brightest teams in the paddock Weeden said: “It’s all been good, we did have a bad meeting at Donington. However at first it was going well, I started off 12th and was running 1st in the academy cup.”
“I just need to get my confidence and get quicker. The bike is good, the teams good and we all work well together.  The one bad thing is the owner,” he joked as Hill sat next to him.
Weeden will continue his progression towards a Cup podium at the next round in three weeks at Snetterton circuit.
