Tommy Bridewell has reverted to his 2024 setup ahead of the 2025 British Superbike Championship season opener.
The 2025 British Superbike Championship will begin this weekend at Oulton Park. This season will see Tommy Bridewell hunting down his second British Championship with Honda Racing UK.
In 2024, Bridewell ended the year in second place, only one point behind the eventual Champion, Kyle Ryde.
However, his 2025 pre-season has not appeared to be smooth sailing when you look at his testing results.
In the final pre-season test at Oulton Park, Bridewell ended the two-day test in tenth place on the timesheets. He was 1.403 seconds behind one of his title rivals, Bradley Ray.
Bridewell has had decent form at Oulton Park in recent years. In 2024 alone, he featured on the podium twice across the six races at the circuit.
Despite his times in pre-season testing, Bridewell is confident after reverting back to his 2024 setup on his Honda CBR1000RR-R.
"Oulton Park is one of our more challenging circuits but the team has got some good ideas that will give a step forward from last year’s setup and it’s been a good circuit for me in the past," Bridewell said ahead of the 2025 BSB season.
"We’ve been experimenting with the bike in pre-season testing so we’ve reverted back to my 2024 setup and I’m a lot happier.
"I’m quietly confident but, really, we won’t know until the Free Practice sessions are complete. I’ve got a new personal trainer and we’ve been flat-out training twice a day, six days a week.
"Sometimes I’ve questioned that decision, but it’s part of the game and I’m probably fitter than I have been for many a year so I’m happy."
