‘We’re ready to push for results’ - Byrne

MCE British Superbike championship leader Shane Byrne says he is fitter and stronger ahead of this weekend’s Snetterton round and that he is ready to push for more success at the Norfolk track.

The Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki man has a 30-point advantage over Josh Brookes and aims to extend that, saying his team will bring a better bike to the fight.

“The start of the season has been nearly perfect; I wasn't too upset to lose out to Yamaha in the second race knowing the good results they have had there in the past,” said Byrne.

“We have had a great couple of rounds to start the season and it has been nice to have some 'time off' but at the same time I have used it to train even harder and I am possibly even fitter now than I was at the start of the season. Yes we have had two great rounds, but as a team we certainly haven't been resting on our laurels since Oulton Park.

"We had the pre-season test at Snetterton which was really good and I know some of our rivals have been out on track there recently, but I am sure we can get straight up to speed. I am coming back physically strong, the team have worked hard to give me an even better bike, and I know we will be ready to get back out and push for the results."
