Ai Ogura will miss the Austrian Grand Prix

Ai Ogura will sit out the Austrian Grand Prix after being declared unfit due to a fracture in his right hand.

After a heavy crash on Saturday morning in Practice Two Ai Ogura has been declared unfit. The Japanese rider has suffered a fracture in his right hand forcing him to miss the Austrian Grand Prix.

Ogura set the pace on Friday as he topped both of the Moto2 Practice sessions throughout the day. However, the MT Helmets - MSi rider will now have to concede points to his Championship leading teammate, Sergio Garcia, this weekend.

The Austrian Grand Prix had started like a dream for Ogura as he announced his move to MotoGP on Thursday. But now Ogura will have two weeks to recover before the next Grand Prix in Aragon at the end of the month.
