After four seasons on a Kalex, Aron Canet was back on a Boscoscuro chassis at the Jerez Moto2 Winter Test.
This week, multiple Moto2 and Moto3 riders began preparations for the 2026 season with a Test at the Circuito de Jerez.
The ELF Marc VDS Racing Team were on site with their new rider line-up of Deniz Oncu and Aron Canet. Oncu was back on track for the first time since July, and Canet was returning to the Boscoscuro chassis.
The 2026 season will be Canet's seventh year in the Moto2 World Championship, but he has spent the last four years on the Kalex chassis, following his first two seasons with the SpeedUp and Boscoscuro chassis.
With a move to the Belgian Marc VDS Racing Team, Canet will return to the Boscoscuro chassis, on which he claimed five podiums in the 2021 Moto2 season.
During his time at the Jerez Moto2 Test, Canet was able to complete 56 laps for his new team on the new generation Boscoscuro chassis.
"Today was a great pleasure for me to finally start this new phase of my career with the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team," Canet said.
"Today was all about getting to know my new crew better and understanding the bike, and we were able to do a very good job together.
"It is clear after just one day we have a lot of margin to improve, but already I feel positive that we can be one of the strongest in 2026."
Canet ended the 2025 Moto2 World Championship in fourth place with a race win and five further podiums to his name.
