Gulf state when its iconic livery will be used during the 2025 MotoGP season

The famous Gulf livery has made its way onto the 2025 MotoGP grid, but it will only be seen at certain rounds.

In December 2024, it was announced that Gulf would partner with Trackhouse Racing for the upcoming MotoGP season.

However, when the American team showcased their 2025 livery, fans were disappointed with the lack of Gulf branding. But hours before the Thai Grand Prix began, Trackhouse unveiled their special Gulf livery on their Aprilia RS-GP's.

It was also announced that the new Gulf look would be used at the Argentine Grand Prix on the 14-16 March.

"Our focus is on Asia and Latin America, which are important growth markets for us due to the large number of two-wheelers there," Sacha Davis, Vice President of Marketing at Gulf International told Speedweek.com.

"As far as our business strategy in Europe is concerned, we are focusing on passenger cars and electrification.

"We have signed a multi-year contract with Trackhouse and will work closely with the team on and off the track.

"The design from Thailand and Argentina will be used again later in the season. That is part of our contract, we are still working out the details."

With the information provided by Davis, it is possible to presume that we will see the Gulf livery in the latter stages of the season. It will likely be used again in Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia in September and October.

"Thailand is a big growth market for us, that was the starting point," said Davis.

"In India, we are the second largest lubricant manufacturer, but unfortunately, we don't have a race there.

"We want to get people much more involved and are thinking about how we can better activate the fans in India, for example. It's a huge two-wheel market.

"The core group of MotoGP fans know who or what Gulf is. But we want to go far beyond that point. We want to get people excited about MotoGP - but also about Gulf."
