Pol Espargaro gives his opinion on the Balaton Park Circuit ahead of World Superbikes debut at the venue.
Ahead of Balaton Park's debut in the World Superbike Championship, several Superbike riders and MotoGP test riders ventured to Hungary to test the new circuit.
There have been mixed reviews regarding the new circuit, but Espargaro believes that it could make for 'physical racing'.
When the track was first revealed, there were concerns regarding safety conditions around the four-kilometre-long circuit. However, the KTM test rider believes that conditions around the circuit 'are not that bad'.
"For sure it is not the longest track," Espargaro said.
"It is fun, I mean it is ok, we have tracks like this for example, like at the Sachsenring, it is not a very long place. But it will be a matter of getting used to it.
"What is more important is that the safety conditions are not that bad.
"For the tyres, obviously, it is short, but the riders will need to make a lot of laps. It looks like it will be more than a thirty-lap race.
"There are a lot of corners, not many straights, the track is very grippy cause the asphalt is not very new. So, it means if there is a mixture of temperatures and high grip, it will make for a physical race."
World Superbikes will head to the Balaton Park Circuit this weekend ahead of MotoGP's debut at the venue later this year in August.
