Jack Miller is hoping to be closer to the front his weekend at the penultimate round of the 2025 MotoGP season.

The flyaways were a tough period for Jack Miller and the Prima Pramac Racing Team, as they only scored ten points across the four Grands Prix during the flyaways.

Miller is hoping that a return to Europe with the Portuguese Grand Prix this weekend will bring positivity for the Italian team and Yamaha.

In the past, the Australian rider has had success at Portimao, as he has two Grand Prix podiums at the Portuguese circuit, both came during his time at Ducati in 2020 and 2021. However, whilst at KTM, he also had success at Portimao with two top-five finishes in Sprint Races, and a top-five finish in the 2024 Portuguese Grand Prix.

"I‘m really looking forward to racing in Portugal and bouncing back after what was a tough weekend for us in Malaysia," Miller said.

"Portimão is a track where I‘ve had some great races in the past and where I‘ve always felt at ease. I really enjoy riding there, and I‘m excited to do it on the M1, as I believe it‘s a circuit that could suit our bike well.

"My hope is that after a few tough weekends, we can close the gap to the front in this coming one."

Prima Pramac Yamaha Team Director Gino Borsoi added: "As for Jack, he‘s shown great speed in the last few races. Even if Portimão hasn‘t always been the most suitable track for his riding style, he‘s often delivered strong results here.

"The bike has improved, and I‘m sure he‘ll give his best. We‘re mentally ready for this weekend, aiming to finish the season on a high and open the door to our new project."
