Jake Dixon is tempering his expectations ahead of a fresh 2024 Moto2 World Championship he begins as one of the hot favourites for a title challenge.
The Englishman enters into a sixth season competing in the intermediate category looking to build on a career-best fourth overall in the 2023 standings following two victories, the first of his grand prix career.
Sticking with the Spanish-based Aspar Team - this year title backed by Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto - Dixon is hoping to capitalise on the series’ switch to Pirelli rubber but insists he is not making predictions at this stage in the year.
“The Qatar GP circuit is a track that I like and last year we had a good weekend there,” he said.
“I'm not sure what to expect this weekend, we have some changes from last year; we will see what we can do, but we will give our best.
"We will set realistic goals, we will take it easy and we will fight for them.”
