Johann Zarco will remain with LCR Honda until the end of 2027

Gold & Goose

Johann Zarco has signed a two-year contract extension with LCR Honda to remain with the team until the end of 2027.

After two seasons with the LCR Honda Castrol squad, Johann Zarco has put pen to paper for a two-year extension with the satellite Honda squad.

The French rider has been the standout Honda rider across the last two MotoGP seasons. He started his time with the Japanese manufacturer with a 17th-place Championship finish in 2024.

However, it has been his 2025 campaign that has written his name in the history books; the French rider secured victory at his home Grand Prix at Le Mans, which was also the Japanese manufacturer's first win since the 2023 Grand Prix of the Americas.

After 14 rounds in the 2025 MotoGP season, Zarco finds himself ninth in the Championship standings with one race win and a further podium to his name.

"I’m very pleased to confirm that I will stay with LCR for the next two years," he said.

"This is important because we have big goals to achieve and great opportunities looking ahead to 2027. When I signed with Honda at the end of 2023, I didn’t expect to find that second wind, which gave me the energy to secure another two-year contract with them.

"We already achieved one victory with Lucio and the team, and it would be fantastic to experience that again, so we are determined to keep pushing for strong results.

"Over the past two years, Honda has provided LCR with great support, and we believe we can continue growing and developing the bike through our hard work. I’d like to thank HRC, LCR, and everybody supporting us."
