MotoGP Aragon: Lorenzo grabs latch-ditch pole; Crutchlow third

Factory Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo grabbed a last-ditch pole position for tomorrow's Aragon MotoGP race tomorrow, slipping ahead of title challenger Dani Pedrosa in the weekend's first fry session while Britain's Cal Crutchlow will once again start from the front row.

Crutchlow was at the top of the timesheets right until the end of the session after putting in a 1'49.576 and it looked like he was on for his first pole but Yamaha stablemate Lorenzo had other ideas with his 1'49.404. Pedrosa, meanwhile, had to pick himself up from an early crash to take second place and was only 0.088s behind his compatriot.

Ben Spies, on the second works Yamaha, heads the second row and is little over three-tenths off the pace while rookie Stefan Bradl is fifth and Crutchlow's team-mate, Andrea Dovizioso, is sixth and eight-tenths in arrears.
