Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso today denied the works GP15s have fuel issues after both he and team-mate Andrea Iannone stopped on the slowing down lap at MotoGP Austin, saying the problem was something else he wasn’t able to speak about.
Ducati had their fuel concession cut to 22 litres after Dovizioso and Iannone stood on the Qatar podium. Team boss Gigi Dall’Igna has always said the bikes had no issues with only having the smaller fuel load and had run on 22 litres in the past - but that wasn’t when they were racing at podium speed.
“The reality is we didn't run out of fuel. We had something on the tank. We had a different problem. But it is something we don't want to speak about,” said Dovizioso, speaking in Argentina.
