PBM Aprilia's James Ellison has admitted he has no clue as to his future in the MotoGP CRT class and says it is all in the hands of team boss Paul Bird.
The Kendal man has had a tough year in the first year of MotoGP's sub-class and has had to deal with a lack of testing, being down the order on Aprilia's parts list and having the spectre of being replaced hovering over him.
"Mentally it's been tough. Paul Bird said at Le Mans he wanted to replace me and then we got some decent results so that kind of went away. It's been a difficult one for me, I've just tried to keep my head down, get the results and do the best I can on track, and try and block all that out," said Ellison.
"I really want to stay where I am. I think there is a lot of potential in the team and I have really enjoyed working with them this year. We've not done much testing all year and that's paid a big part in the slow development.
"I just want to go full steam ahead and I think we can achieve a lot in the CRT class next year. Hopefully Paul we keep me on but it is up to him. To be honest, I don't have a clue at the moment."
