MOTOGP DONINGTON: KRP WILDCARD FOUR RIDERS

KRP riders’ Paul Jordan, Tim Hastings, Martin Glossop and James Lodge of the British Relentless 125GP Championship will be taking on the high level challenge as wildcard riders in the 125cc series that supports Moto GP at riders at Donington this weekend.
The KRP team regularly takes part in the championship when it comes to British soil, but this year with the total of four riders taking part this will see the highest amount of riders from the red and black British team to take to the track in the series.
Team Manager Mark Kneen said: “I always like to try to have a go at that level.  We are very realistic about what we can achieve, the level is high, the machinery is good, the riders are good with the best teams and mechanics.”
“In reality in many ways it could be seen to be dangerous, last year James [Lodge] was used to running at the front and then at that level he is what could be seen as more of a back marker as such.  This year I think our equipment is the closes to GP level we have ever had and we hope to improve on our GP times, learn from it and take as much away as possible.”
The team have a solid target of hitting the 1’40s as no other wildcard rider has done that in the GP class at Donington.  In addition to the time goal there are also other riders that the team have raced against at Spanish level which gives them an extra challenge to aim for and who they feel they stand a solid chance of beating.
KRP who are the strongest team in the British paddock are thoroughly looking forward to the weekend and for the riders instead of watching their heroes on television, they will soon be sharing the same tarmac as them.
