Well now – if the new 2017 bikes keep leaking out like this, then we’ll be cancelling our Booking.com trip to Milan and spending the second week of November in the pub…
This is the latest one – MV Agusta’s treating its crackers Dragster 800 RR to the ‘RC’ Reparto Corse treatment. Giving a naked roadster a race-rep paintjob might seem a bit daft on the outside, but the WSB paint job looks mighty sweet in the pics. Under the paint is the 140bhp 800 triple motor, that’s probably Agusta’s best lump at the moment.
The chassis is every bit as saucy. The front forks are top-spec Marzocchis, with trick aluminium stanchions, rather than steel. The brakes are superbike-spec Brembos, and there’s a fully adjustable Sachs rear shock too. Sadly, the RR’s fancy Kineo spoked wheels are missing, but they’ve been replaced by a set of forged alloy rims, which is *almost* a fair trade…
Agusta’s capable electronics package is present and correct, so you get eight-level traction, ABS, up- and down-shifter, and a very comprehensive LCD dashboard. With the RC, you get a nice indoor cover too, and the fancy version is limited to just 350 copies.
The Dragster 800 RC will be on show at EICMA in Milan the week after next. We’ll be there to sit on it and make broom-broom noises on your behalf, fine denizens of the BSN.com world…
