Thundersport's Aprilia Superteen Challenge will have almost £17,000 of contingencies for riders in 2012 after Dunlop and Nitro helmets increased their commitment to the series for next season.
Aprilia UK, Lexham, Black Horse, IN Competition and Stewart Events are once again funding the extensive production and broadcast of the very popular “GP Racing Dream” programmes on both Eurosport TV and Motors TV in the UK and subsequently worldwide on Fox Sports and Channel Seven.
Aprilia UK supply these great little bikes via IN Competition at a subsidised price of just £3,400+VAT ready to race. This includes the race bodywork, Arrow race exhaust, series decals, updated ECU map, brake lines and chain guards.
Dunlop Tyres are once again providing the race rubber as the control product at a subsidised price of just £165+VAT per set, fitted, balanced and with full technical support from Dunlop technicians. This price is valid for either the specialist race D209GP dry tyres or the KR244/444 wet weather variants. This significantly undercuts even inferior non-race products by some margin.
For 2012 Dunlop will also be providing over £8250 worth of prize tyres for both the main Aprilia Superteen Championship and the entry level Nitro Newcomers class, with these allocations being split equally to give both experienced and novice riders a fair chance of sharing the prizes.
New for 2012, Nitro Helmets are also giving £2,000 worth of Nitro carbon helmets as “Rider of the Day” prizes for these classes alone. These top of the range helmets weigh just 1150 grams and are as used by Neil Hodgson and Dan Linfoot.
