Stephanie Wood, who died last Thursday, was both an enthusiast and a highly-respected journalist who covered mainly “clubbie” action for Bikesport News.

She worked extensively around the Wirral Hundred and Aintree clubs, knowing the scene in depth and always making the case for more space to cover the efforts of the riders taking part in those club championships.

Copy was always prompt, to meet deadlines, and accurate with Stephanie also on the look out for newsy stories away from the actual race meetings that she was covering for BSN.

Bikesport News extends its sympathies to Stephanie’s family at this time of their tragic loss - her funeral will be held at the Grenoside Crematorium, Sheffield, South Yorkshire 11:45a.m. Friday 10 June.
