Darley Moor Motor Cycle Road Race Club are holding a Newcomers' Day at their circuit near Ashbourne, Derbyshire, Sunday 27th November 2011 from 12 noon onwards.
On hand will be all the necessary paperwork to apply for your first racing licence, we will even have medics at the circuit that can carry out the necessary eyesight tests – free of charge - and all the other necessary documentation.
Not sure how to convert your road bike to a race bike, or what would be a good entry level machine? Then ask the professional race team who will be there displaying their machinery and equipment, but also happy to answer any questions you may have.
It is obviously not just a case of turning up at a circuit and putting your bike out on track, your machine, crash helmet and clothing needs to be scrutineered before you can ‘sign-on’, which can be bewildering if you are unsure as to where to go.
The Club will give you a tour of the Paddock to ensure you do not get lost and with tea/coffee and biscuits available throughout the day your first visit to a circuit will be totally stress free and ensure that your first meeting runs as smoothly as possible.
There is no need to book, just turn up on the day and take part. For any further information log onto the website, www.darleymoor.co.uk, or contact Eddie Nelson, 07860 281094, eddie@darleymoor.co.uk.
