This year's R&G Racing GSX-R Trophy kicks off this weekend as part of the Motosix Nations event at Donington Park with lastyear's runner-up Chris Hawkes looking to go one better than 2008.
The bikesportnews.com and Stamford Superbikes-backed series runs over 11 rounds this season and because of the tie-up with Motosix, event the GSX-R riders will benefit from TV coverage which will air on Motors TV (schedule to follow after the event) a DVD will also be made giving the R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R Trophy even more coverage.
The GSX-R Trophy riders will be the first riders on track on Sunday morning at 09:00 to 09:15 for qualifying practice, this in then followed up by second qualifying practice at 10:30 to 10:50. Racing kicks off at 16:55 for the Trophy with the race running for 20 minutes plus one lap.
