This year's R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy will run two rounds as support races to the World Superbike Championship at Donington Park on the 27th-28th June.
The Trophy riders will be able to rub shoulders with all the British stars who have made the move to the World stage. Tom Sykes, Shane Byrne, Leon Haslam as well Cal Crutchlow and Eugene Laverty will all be taking the hallowed tarmac and the Trophy riders will be able to watch their heroes in action before going out to do the same.
An extra round has been added to the Trophy Championship and it will now run over 11 rounds instead of 10 giving the riders even more bang for their buck.
It will run at seven venues between March and September with five of the locations being well known British Superbike circuits. The first round at Donington Park on the 28th-29th March is the first motorcycle event at Donington in 2009 plus it is part of the MotoSix race event.
The R&G Racing GSX-R Trophy is a cost effective way to go racing with the whole package costing under £9,000. It also has a superb £12,000 prize fund which will see the Trophy Champion walk away with £3,000 for all his hard work during the season. The rest of the cash will ensure good prize money throughout the season keeping costs even lower.
