Nuneaton racer Leon Jeacock dominated the final round of the EMRA Club Championships, held at Mallory Park over the weekend, smashing the the club lap record and winning three titles.
Scooping no less than three Championship titles, 20-year-old Jeacock also etched his name into the Club’s history books by smashing a lap record that had stood for over four years, by almost half a second and securing the Formula 600 Championship, Superstock 600 Championship and the EMRA Co-ordit Performance Relay Championship.
“Today has topped what I can only describe as an incredible season. Winning three Championships is an incredible boost, not only for myself, but also for my Sponsors, Team and Supporters, without whom, none of this would have been possible," said Jeacock.
"To break the lap record that has stood for several years puts the icing on the cake, it’s been a great day! I’m really looking forward to racing at the NGRRC with the support of Co-ordit Performance in 2010."
The Co-ordit Performance Relay Championship is an exciting new initiative for the development of Britain’s talented young motorcycle racers. The Championship takes place at two of the UK’s leading club racing series’ during the 2009 season.
Running concurrently with the standard 600cc Open Class within EMRA, and the North Gloucester Road Racing Club (NGRRC). The eligible rider with the highest number of points at the end of the season will progress with free entry from EMRA to NGRRC, and from NGRRC into a coveted berth in the National Superstock 600 Championship, with full backing from Co-ordit Performance.
Elevation into the National Superstock 600 class will provide one rider with the fantastic opportunity to display their talent within esteemed company and with a live TV audience.
