The Kevin Lowndes Handicap Sidecar Festival is revving up for a bumper weekend at Mallory Park on Sunday 5th October with big hitters Tim Reeves and Ben Birchall leading the charge.

The action packed sidecar specialist event will kick off at 0945 with practice and racing commencing at 1150 with a 14 race line up. Both F1 and F2 machines will be taking part as well as F350s, classic machines, Morgans and a few scooters for good measure.

The Sidecar Festival will see the final round of the EMRA Championship take to the Friendly circuit; the Dave Roberts open invite race will also be on track. For the F2 machines there is the Andy Brown race and the title race of the day the Kevin Lowndes Handicap race.

Multiple World Champion Sidecar driver Tim Reeves and passenger Patrick Farrance are expected to be pushed to their limits by World Championship contenders Ben Birchall and his passenger Tim Birchall. Reeves said: “I’m really looking forward to the Sidecar Festival at Mallory Park as it is a great event. It is nice to just get all the Sidecar people together and it always has a great atmosphere as there isn’t the same pressure on you. I’m expecting Ben to give me a run for my money; we had a great battle in Croatia and at Croft so I know he will be pushing hard.”

There will be a Sidecar push on Saturday evening in memory of TT racer Steve Norbury, all money raised will go to a charity nominated by his family.

Tickets to this unique event can be purchased in advance with costing £12 or £14 on the gate, children under 16 go free and parking is free. To book advance tickets please visit www.mallorypark.co.uk or call on 01455 842931.
