BSB | MCALEER ENJOYS SOME TESTING IN THE SUN

GCSE student, Nicole McAleer swapped her school books and the wet, windy February weather for warmer, sunnier climes this week, when she participated in a three day pre-season testing session in Cartagena, Spain.

Unfortunately the opening day was halted early for the 15 year old when she had a trip to the local hospital mid morning, following a crash, but after a check over by the local doctors, she was given a clean bill of health and was able to resume the testing on day two.

It would seem it spurred her on as she was able to improve on her times from the first morning as was delighted to make further progress on Saturday during the third and final day, dropping her times to a more than respectable 1min 43s

The teenager is now looking forward to appearing at the Ballymena Bike Show next weekend before taking part in the final preparation testing at Snetterton during the Easter holidays, two weeks prior to the start of the 2008 British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch.

You can keep in touch with her progress throughout the season via her website, or through the SP125 Racing team website.
