Team Northern Ireland teams are currently leading the MotoSix event at a bright but cool Donington Park. Northern Ireland took the 600cc race win courtesy of Alastair Seeley and he was followed home by fellow Ulster man Marty Nutt in second place.
The final step of the podium went to Jack Kennedy who is on the Southern Ireland team. The race got off to a torrid start with two red flags caused by fallers at Craner. A lack of track temperature was catching everyone out through the tricky down hill section.
The 1000cc win also went to Seeley but he was pushed all the way by Richard Cooper on the England team. Seeley out dragged Cooper to the line beating him by just 0.07secs. A distant third place went to Phil Bevan on the Welsh team who was 21.47secs behind the Cooper Seeley battle.
The sidecar race went to Bryan Peddar and Rod Steadman for the England team. John Clarke and Stuart Graham took second for Northern Ireland with Scott Lawrie and James Connel in third place for Scotland giving the Scots their first podium.
Points are allocated from one down to 36 with the higher placed riders getting the lower points so the team with the least points wins. Any rider who fails to take part incurs a penalty of 36 points.
